Purpose:

• OTs and OT assistants teach techniques and exercises to improve daily functioning
• Education on symptom recognition to prevent complications and reduce hospitalization risk
• Essentially, both services focus on education, self-management, and independence, but PT emphasizes movement, strength, and mobility, while OT emphasizes performing daily activities confidently and safely.
